Asfendamos

From Athens you may reach Zaharo/Kakovatos if you follow the national road Athens-Korinthos-Tripoli-Megalopolis and then continue towards Kalamata. Turn right at the sign directing Pirgos-Kiparissia and keep straight forward until you reach the village “Kalo nero” where you should turn right towards Pirgos-Zaharo. Before reaching Zaharo you will find Kakovatos on your left. The distance from Athens is 260 km.



From Patra you may reach Kakovatos if you follow the national road of Patras-Pirgos and then Pirgos-Kalamata. After 20 minutes drive you will enter the city of Zaharo, keep straight ahead and you will find Kakovatos on your right. The distance from Patra is 129 km.



Another way to reach Zaharos - Kakovatos is by bus, either directly from Athens or from Thessaloniki or Patra with stopover at Pirgos and the change bus to Zaharo.
There are also ferries reaching the port of Killini daily, from the islands of Zante or Kefalonia.

Finally the closest airport to Kakovatos is the airport of Araxos only for charter flights.
